Provedeni vikend u gradu Šibeniku
Početak ovog putopisa započeti ćemo s jednim citatom: '' Postoji milion gradova u koje možeš da odeš, ali samo jedan u koji možeš da se vraćaš... Đorđe Balašević"
Upravo je grad Šibenik, grad u kojega se vraćaš, i koji ti nikad ne dosadi.
Uske kamene ulice starog grada, navečer uz uličnu rasvjetu stvaraju romantični ugođaj, a ujutro kada dođu prve zrake sunca pružaju nezaboravne trenutke provedene u gradu Šibeniku. Ponajviše nezaboravne trenutke možemo prepisati njegovoj najljepšoj katedrali, ali i tvrđavama s kojih se pružaju prekrasni pogledi na grad. Mnogi ljudi, Šibenik zovu: Krešimirovim gradom. Petar Krešimir u svojoj ispravi prvi put 1066.godine spomenuo grad Šibenik. Šibenik, svojem osnivaču je podigao i spomenik u središtu grada točnije u Perivoju Roberta Visianija.

Grad je tijekom svoje povijesti mijenjao gospodare, a pravi procvat je doživio za vrijeme vladavine Mlečana, tada su se počele graditi nezaobilazne točke razgledavanja.
Između Poreča i Trogira jedini objekt koji je UNESCO 2000 svrstao u svoj popis kulturne baštine je katedrala sv. Jakova, koja dominira svojom vizurom grada. Ona je remek djelo graditeljstva, nalazi se na malenom brežuljku iznad rive a do koje se dolazi stubama.

Pored katedrale nalazi se spomenik Juraja Dalmatinca, djelo ruku velikog kipara Ivana Meštrovića.

Nezaobilazne postaje su: Čuvari Šibenika.
Mjesto gdje je sve zapravo započelo- Tvrđava sv. Mihovila
Tvrđava je sagrađena na 70 metara strmoj i visokoj stijeni, s koje se vidi kanal Sv. Ante. Da nije bilo nje, ne bi bilo ni grada Šibenika. Tvrđava dominira svojom starom gradskom jezgrom, ušćem rijeke Krke i zaljevom. Predstavlja najsnažniji ali i najvažniji objekt obrane grada, gdje je bila stalna posada od 40 vojnika. Tvrđava sv. Mihovila zaštitnica je okolnog područja. Ulaz u tvrđavu se naplaćuje.

Više od stvarnosti- Tvrđava Barone
Izgrađena je kao obližnja tvrđava Sv. Ivana koja je trenutno u fazi renovacije 1646.godine. Kada se približavala osmanska vojska, građani su sami svojim rukama izgradili nove tvrđave koje su napravljene kako bi obranile grad. Nije bilo građana koji nije sudjelovao u fazi izrade, uz to koristili su vlastiti novac i za samo 58 dana izgradili nove tvrđave. Zahvaljujući njima nije se dogodio veliki napad 1647.godine, kad je više od 25 000 neprijatelja napadalo grad Šibenik. Ulaz u tvrđavu se naplaćuje.

Ne smijemo ni zaobići otočnu tvrđavu Sv. Nikole iz 16.stoljeća. Koju je moguće posjetiti jedino morskim putem, ali vidjeti ju možete ako krenete napravljenom šetnicom kroz kanal Sv. Ante. Šetnica je duga 4,2 kilometra.

Nešto više o Draženu: Dražen je bio jedan od najvećih hrvatskih, ali i svjetskih igrača. Rođen je 22.listopada. 1964 godine u Šibeniku. Svoju karijeru je započeo u svome rodnom gradu. Igrao je i za Cibonu, NBA klubovima New Jersey Nets, te Portland Trail Blazer. Njegova karijera je se završila prometnom nesrećom , u kojoj je Dražen izgubio život 1993, u svojoj 28 godini života.

We spent a weekend in the city of Sibenik

It is the city of Šibenik, the city you return to and you are never bored.
The narrow cobbled streets of the old town create a romantic atmosphere in the evening with street lighting, and in the morning when the first rays of the sun provide unforgettable moments spent in the city of Šibenik. Unforgettable moments can be inscribed in its most beautiful cathedral, but also in the fortresses with a beautiful view of the city. Many call Šibenik: Krešimir's town. Petar Krešimir first mentioned the city of Šibenik in his document in 1066. Šibenik erected a monument to its founder in the center of the city, more precisely in the park of Robert Visiani.
The city changed owners during its history, and experienced a real boom during the rule of the Venetians, when they began to build unavoidable points of view.
Between Poreč and Trogir, the only building that UNESCO 2000 included in its list of cultural heritage is the Cathedral of St. Jakov, which dominates its view of the city. It is a masterpiece of construction, located on a small hill above the waterfront and which is reached by stairs.

Next to the cathedral there is a monument to Juraj Dalmatinac, the work of the great sculptor Ivan Meštrović.

The place where it all actually started - Fortress of St. Mihovila
The fortress was built on a 70 meter steep and high rock, from which you can see the channel Sv. Ante. If it weren't for her, there would be no city of Šibenik. The fortress dominates its old town, the mouth of the river Krka and the bay. It is the strongest but also the most important object of the city's defense, where there was a permanent crew of 40 soldiers. Fortress of St. Mihovila is the patroness of the surrounding area. Entrance to the fortress is charged.
More than reality- Fortress Barone
It was built as a nearby fortress of St. Ivana, which is currently in the phase of renovation in 1646. As the Ottoman army approached, the citizens built new fortresses with their own hands that were built to defend the city. There was no citizen who did not participate in the construction phase, in addition they used their own money and built new fortresses in just 58 days. Thanks to them, no major attack took place in 1647, when more than 25,000 enemies attacked the city of Šibenik. Entrance to the fortress is charged.
We must not miss the island fortress of Sv. Nicholas from the 16th century. Which can only be visited by sea, but you can see if you take the promenade through the channel Sv. Ante. The promenade is 4.2 kilometers long

Something more about Drazen: Drazen was one of the greatest Croatian and world players. He was born on October 22. 1964 in Šibenik. I started my career in my hometown. I played for Cibona, the NBA clubs of the New Jersey Nets and the Portland Trail Blazer. His career ended in a car accident, in which Drazen lost his life in 1993, at the age of 28.
2. Renaissance City Hall
More about the town hall: it is located on the Square of the Republic of Croatia, and is considered one of the most famous cultural monuments.
